Ballistic kevlar helmet is the last word in keeping you safe – no wonder this bulletproof helmet has caught on so fast among military personnel across the globe.
A ballistic helmet or commonly referred to as a tactical helmet can seem like an indestructible barrier. After all, what could be more protective than a hard shell and multiple layers of hard plastic followed by soft foam on top of your vulnerable skull?

The average person’s first thought may be that these are made to withstand shots from a gun. Our tactical helmets are covered for up to a level 3A NIJ Standard of personal protective equipment.
Most ballistic helmet tests are performed with handgun rounds traveling at about 1,200 feet per second. Tactical helmets should also protect against shrapnel.

The short answer is yes.
Ballistic helmets can stop a multiple bullets fired at them from various distances. The shell of the helmet is typically rated at a specific level, for example NIJ Level IIIA or III, which means it will stop bullets from that category of weapon. Depending on the design helmets can stop 9mm round, .44 Magnum bullet or even 7.62x51mm rifle round.

When you’re looking for the best tactical helmet possible, there are several things that you should take into consideration. For instance, you want a helmet that can be accessorized with night vision goggles or be specially designed with a rail system to hold any type of light or equipment No matter which type of bulletproof helmets or protective headgear that you choose, the most important thing is to make sure that it fits well and is comfortable on you.

You don’t want a helmet that is too tight or too loose; if it’s too small it could cause pain and headaches, while one that’s too big might not be protective enough for you. A factor to look at when searching for the ideal tactical helmet is cost.
There are a few different kinds of ballistic helmets that can provide additional protection for your head and additional features: comfort pads or NVG mounts. Each has its own specific purpose, so make sure that you know what each will do before making a purchase.
